Never could Pat Stone have imagined his life being changed so dramatically. He falls madly in love with a young Sikh teacher, Navi, and leaves his wife of 15 years to be with her. Pat learns later Navi’s brother is smuggling drugs across the US/Canada border. Navi and Pat are drawn into drug gang violence when one of them gets caught in a drive by shooting intended for Navi’s brother. Terrified for their lives, Pat buys a gun, and Navi starts looking into fleeing to southern France. Will they be able to get out of the country in time? If they manage to make it to France, will the violence follow them there? Will their relationship survive this trauma? What strengths will each of them find within themselves to look after the other?
